Cabbage rice

Cabbage rice

 INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 large onion in thin slices
  • 1 medium size white cabbage, finely chopped
  • 1 small celery root, cut into slices
  • 200 gr. rice
  • 700 ml of water
  • juice of a lemon
  • 1 tbsp. dill, finely chopped
  • salt, freshly ground pepper
  • 50 ml oil

 

PREPARATION:

Heat the oil in a deep saucepan and sauté the onion until soft.

Add the cabbage and celery root and continue sautéing for another 5 minutes. Add the washed rice and water, salt and pepper and stir.

When it boils, lower the heat and let it simmer for 20 minutes, until the rice is done. Add the dill and lemon, stir and serve.
